You deserve more care than what your insurance is willing to cover.

  • We offer a complimentary 15 minute phone consultation to help determine if we’re the right fit for you. Fees vary depending on the service provided and the session length.

We can provide specific pricing information when you contact us.

Most of our clients use their Out of Network benefits to cover some or all of their session fees, depending on their benefits.

  • Sensible Psych Meds works with most commercial insurance companies as an out-of-network provider.

We do not accept Medicare or Medicaid at this time.

  • Using an out-of-network provider for psychiatric services can offer several benefits:

    1. Access to Specialized or Experienced Providers – Out-of-network providers may have specific expertise or a style of practice that better suits your needs, which might not be available in-network.

    2. Greater Treatment Flexibility – Greater flexibility in scheduling, treatment approaches, and medication management without the restrictions that come with in-network providers.

    3. Potential for Higher Quality Care – Patients often seek out-of-network providers based on reputation, specialization, or techniques that resonate with them, leading to potentially more personalized and effective care.

    4. Less Administrative Restrictions – Out-of-network providers might have fewer limits on session length, frequency, or type of therapy, providing more tailored treatment plans based on your individual needs.

    5. Privacy - Using an out of network provider enhances your privacy, allowing you to decide whether your mental health treatment is included in your insurance health records. Insurance companies are demanding more access to your private mental health records, which may be a concern.

  • When you choose an Out-of-Network provider, we’ll provide you with a superbill (an itemized receipt) that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Most clients who use OON coverage are reimbursed for 50-80% of their session costs, depending on your insurance benefits. Our administrative team is here to guide you through the process, so you can focus on your healing rather than the paperwork.

Here are some important questions to ask your insurance company when considering an Out-of-Network provider:

    • Do I have Out-of-Network benefits for mental health care? If so, what are they and how much is my reimbursement rate?

    • What is my deductible, and have I met it yet?

    • Does my coverage include remote/online therapy with Out-of-Network providers? If so, is there an expiration date for that coverage?

    • Codes we typically bill:
